The Wynona Riders : J.D. Salinger

The Wynona Riders’ turbulent and erratic career began in 1991 and ended in 1997 with the “Artificial intelligence” EP. In between, the marking point is the true masterpiece “J.D. Salinger” LP, released in 1995 by Lookout! Records, but nothing is that simple.
I listened back to it recently and realized that the track-listings given here (allmusic) and there (eMusic) are no more than confusing. So I decided to make my own rip of “J.D. Salinger” and their other works (some of it coming from “How to make an American quit” CD, but even with this posthumously release, the inlay cover omitted some tracks). I’ve chosen to name all the unlisted tracks “Jingle #n” to respect SKiP’s personal definition of the jingles “which are part of the insidious mind control conspiracy cooked up by the Tri-Lateral Commission” (sic)

In addition I also included a funny song inspired by the real J.D. Salinger’s short-story “A perfect day for bananafish”, nicely mistranslated in “Un jour parfait pour posson de banane” (sic).

If you are a little bit confused with the following offers, just pick “J.D. Salinger”, SKiP is a real stand-up comedian and the backing band is perfectly in the tone, you won’t regret it.
